Just 25 minutes by speedboat from the airport, Niva Velassaru Maldives offers a naturally beautiful island setting in South Male Atoll. Wide white-sand beaches meet an expansive turquoise lagoon, creating an easy sense of escape.
The resort has 129 villas across nine categories, from peaceful island hideaways to overwater retreats. Butler service is available in the Pool Villa and Water Suite.
The house reef is limited; guests seeking more snorkelling can join guided excursions to reefs further afield. Complimentary snorkelling equipment is available.
Five dining concepts and two bars complement LIME Wellbeing, an overwater spa, a fitness centre, Pilates and Barre studio, tennis, diving and water sports. Half Board, Full Board and Velassaru Indulgence dining plans are available.
Children are welcome, although there is no kids’ club or dedicated children’s infrastructure.
